Founder of the firm and continues to serve in an active architectural design, project management, and sustainability consulting capacity, particularly for large-scale commissions including academic campuses, hospitals, and airport terminals. With a professional career spanning 28 years, he previously spent over a decade leading green initiatives as the Sustainability Manager at Dar Al-Handasah. During his tenure, he successfully coordinated more than 60 projects seeking LEED, GSAS, ESTIDAMA, and EDGE certifications across the MENA region. He was honoured by the GBCI in 2020 with the prestigious title of LEED Fellow and actively serves as a USGBC LEED® Faculty™ educator.
Dedicated to advancing the industry, Karim is the Vice President and Co-founder of the Egypt Green Building Council, a nonprofit NGO promoting sustainable development. He continues regular service to the region as the Head of the Technical Committee responsible for developing TARSHEED, Egypt's local green building rating system, and remains a frequent speaker at major international green building conferences.
